Lead generation

A lead generation chatbot that earns the email first

Pop ups ask for an email before giving anything. That is why they are ignored. Paperchat works the other way round: the visitor asks a real question, gets a specific answer from your own content, and is asked for their details at the point where they are actually interested. The lead lands in your dashboard with the entire conversation attached, so you know what they wanted before you reply. It runs on your website, Instagram, Messenger and Telegram, answers in more than 58 languages, and hands the conversation to a person when the enquiry is worth a call.

  • Answer first, capture second
  • Full transcript with every lead

A captured lead

Do you do kitchen fitting as well as supply?

Yes, supply and fit, usually four to six weeks from final design sign off.

What would a small galley kitchen cost?

Galley kitchens usually land between £6,000 and £11,000 fitted, depending on the finish. If you leave an email I will send the range breakdown.

Qualification happens inside the conversation

A form gives you an email and nothing else. A conversation tells you what the person is trying to do, what their budget looks like, which product they were reading about and how urgent it is. Every Paperchat lead arrives with its full transcript, so the first reply from your team can be specific rather than a discovery email.

You choose which details to ask for, name, email, phone, or a short description of what they need, and whether the visitor can dismiss the form. The agent asks at a natural point rather than blocking the conversation at the start.

How a lead is captured
  1. 1The visitor asks a question and gets a real answer
  2. 2The agent asks for the details you chose to collect
  3. 3The lead is saved with the whole conversation attached
  4. 4Your team is notified in Slack or Telegram

It answers well enough to be worth talking to

Lead capture only works if the conversation before it was useful. Paperchat trains on your website, documents and pasted notes, so it can answer specific questions about your services, pricing bands, lead times and coverage rather than repeating a tagline.

On paid plans it can also look things up in connected systems, so a visitor asking whether you have something in stock or whether a slot is free gets a real answer instead of a promise that somebody will check.

What it can answer from
  • Your website

    Services, pricing pages, case studies

  • Documents

    Price lists, brochures, specifications

  • Pasted notes

The answers only your team knows

  • Connected systems

    Live stock, orders, records

Leads land where you already work

Leads are stored in the Paperchat dashboard with search and filtering, and your team can be notified the moment one arrives in Slack or Telegram. On paid plans you can push them onward with Zapier, n8n or Make into whatever CRM or spreadsheet you actually use.

If you would rather the conversation continue with a person, human handover moves the same thread to your team, which for high value enquiries often converts better than a follow up email the next day.

Where leads can go
  • Paperchat dashboard

    Searchable, with the full transcript

  • Slack or Telegram

    Notified as they arrive

  • Zapier, n8n or Make

    Into your CRM or spreadsheet

  • Straight to a human

    Handover in the same conversation

It works at the hours enquiries actually arrive

A large share of enquiries are sent outside working hours, from people comparing three suppliers in the same evening. Whoever answers first has an enormous advantage, and on most sites nobody answers until the following morning.

An agent that responds immediately, in the visitor's own language, keeps you in the running for those enquiries. The ones that need a person are waiting in your inbox with context when you start work.

An enquiry at 22:40

Do you deliver to the Highlands?

Yes, though Highland delivery adds two days and £15 to the standard rate.

Good to know. Can someone quote for six units?

Of course. Leave a name and email and the team will send a quote in the morning.

Frequently asked questions

How a lead generation chatbot actually earns its place

Most lead capture on the web is built on interruption. A visitor arrives, reads two paragraphs, and a panel slides over the content asking for an email in exchange for a newsletter nobody wants. It converts a small percentage of people and irritates the rest, and it tells you nothing about what the person was looking for. A conversation inverts that trade: the visitor gets something valuable first, and the request for contact details comes at the moment they have a reason to give them.

For that to work, the answers have to be genuinely good. A lead generation chatbot that cannot answer questions about your pricing bands, your coverage area or your lead times is just a slower pop up. Paperchat trains on your website, your documents and any notes you paste in, which usually includes the details your team repeats on the phone every week but never published anywhere. On paid plans it can also query connected systems, so questions about stock, orders or availability get a factual answer rather than a promise to check.

The output is different from a form submission in a way that matters commercially. Instead of an email address and a name, you get a transcript: what they asked, what they were comparing, which page they were on, what objection came up. That is enough for your first reply to be specific, and specific replies convert far better than a generic thank you for your enquiry. It also lets you spot patterns, since fifty transcripts will tell you which question your website is failing to answer.

Timing is the other advantage. A significant share of enquiries are made in the evening by people shortlisting suppliers, and the supplier who replies first is usually the one who gets the work. A trained agent replies immediately, at any hour, in the language the visitor used. Enquiries that need a human are still waiting for you in the morning, but with the conversation already advanced rather than sitting at hello.

Finally, think about where the leads need to end up. A dashboard that nobody opens is not much better than no dashboard, so notifications matter: Paperchat can post to Slack or Telegram as leads arrive, and on paid plans push them through Zapier, n8n or Make into the CRM or spreadsheet your team actually uses. For higher value enquiries, human handover keeps the visitor in the same conversation while a person takes over, which converts better than any follow up sequence.
